Campground Description: What a great
find! An RV campground on the banks of the Willamette River near
its confluence with the Clackamas River - and in an urban setting.
Located in Oregon City, this park is only 20 freeway miles from
downtown Portland. Clackamette Park is owned and operated by the
City of Oregon City. It is a destination RV campground for
fishermen and day picnicking. Clackamette Park's campgrounds are
not landscaped but are well maintained and operated. The
campgrounds are only available for RV camping - tent camping and van
camping are prohibited. Open year round.

Directions:
Interstate 5 Southbound from downtown
Portland - Drive South on I-5 to
Interstate 205 (I-205). Take I-205 East and follow for 8.8 miles to
the Oregon City exit, exit #9. Turn left onto Highway 99,
McLaughlin Blvd. Merge into the left lane and turn left at
Clackamette Drive. The park is on the left side of Clackamette
Drive. Interstate 84 Westbound from
Hood River - Drive West on Interstate 84 (I-84) to Interstate
205 (I-205). Follow I-205 South
towards Salem. Follow for 13.3 miles to the Oregon City exit, exit
#9. Turn right onto Highway 99, McLaughlin Blvd. Merge into the
left lane and turn left at Clackamette Drive. The park is on the
left side of Clackamette Drive.
Fishing: Yes. Clackamette Park is
situated on the Willamette River near its confluence with the
Clackamas River and a boat ramp is available. When in season,
Salmon and Steelhead fishing is good, abet crowded.
Astronomy
Opportunities: Astronomy camping is poor due to light pollution
from the surrounding area.
